My Dream Christmas Vacation in Finland
Why does the real Santa Claus live in Finland? Well, it is Santa’s home where also his reindeers live. Santa Claus would love to meet you on any day of the year, in Finland.
So please, embrace the Christmas next to a warm fireplace or in the snow playing with your family and friends in Finland. Why not even try old-fashioned sleigh rides or let reindeers or dogs pull your sled? Those who like agile outdoor experience might take a trek with snowmobiles or enjoy the wide variety of other things to do, like skiing, skating, sled slides, and walking on the icy lakes.
After fresh air, it is time to taste traditional Christmas dishes. All the fuss ends to the proclamation of Yuletide peace. In December 24, Finnish families eat Christmas dinner, go to Christmas sauna and wait the visit of Santa Claus. It is time to open gifts. Some will also go to Christmas church.

How to participate in Visitfinland competition?
Make a picture, a story or a movie about the Christmas of your dreams in Finland. Best dreamer will be rewarded with a trip to Finland. You can participate in the contest with one work. Please, select one of the following ways to present your dream:
1) Upload your picture into 24days.net and add two tags to the picture; dream and Finland. You can also add words to the picture by writing a comment.
2) Write a story about your dream. The story can't be longer than 200 words. There's a space for the story in the registration form.
3) Make a movie about your dream. You can talk, act, whatever you like. The most important thing is that you tell us about your Christmas dreams. Add the movie to YouTube (www.youtube.com) and add the tags Finland and Christmas to it. After you have done so, register your work with the registration form. We will add your movie to 24days.net. The movie must not be longer than two minutes.
4) Make an Advent Calendar about Finland. Use your imagination and show your Christmas spirit on 24days.net.
The contest is open to all, but the Finns. Competition is open from 20th of November till 21st of December, 2007. Please, read the rules before you send us your Christmas Dream.
The Finnish Tourist Board, MEK, decides the winner. The winner is announced on December 24th, 2007, and the winning dream will be placed in the Visit Finland Advent Calendar, behind door number 24. We will contact the winner shortly after. Remember to use your real email-address so we can contact you!
